The Queen’s 90th Birthday was celebrated in some style on Wednesday 15 July 2016 when over 60 local senior citizens attended a special tea organised by the Helensburgh Lions Club.
Following a delicious “Ritz” style tea, prepared by the Buffet Shop, the Queen was wished a Happy Birthday and toasted with a wee glass of prosecco
The Club would like to thank Frank Murray and Hamish Williamson who provided an enjoyable accompaniment to the event on the piano and to the United Reform Church who made their hall available.
Cllr Vivian Dance visited the tea and gave an impromptu vote of thanks to the members of the Helensburgh Lions Club for organising this and other activities in the town.
