Helensburgh Lions Club annual Senior Citizens lunch has been held at the Masonic Hall for many years. The hall was again offered to us but as our usual caterer was not available a new venue with catering was sought.
The Management Committee and members of Helensburgh Golf Club kindly made their facilities available and on Saturday 27th February. Nearly 70 senior citizens enjoyed a delicious three course meal prepared by the Clubs resident chef. The Golf Clubs bar team were kept busy serving a full range of drinks to the Lions Club guests.
Beth Street and the Streetwise Concert party made the afternoon go with a swing and encouraged everyone to sing along, one or two even danced the afternoon away.
The “every ones a winner” raffle concluded the day.
The afternoon was a great success and the Lions Club are hoping to be able to entertain another group of senior citizens at their annual tea to be held later in the year.
